This is created with a simple animated gif image. Animated gifs were invented 1989, and all patents covering its use expired in 2004. I expected all browsers to support them, but I have received reports that Camino 1.5.5 and Internet Explorer 6.0 cannot display it. It certainly works in Firefox 2, Firefox 3, and Safari 3.
